All Speick products contain the extract of the Speick plant (valeriana celtica) which grows wild in the Alps at altitudes around 5,900 feet.
This graceful little plant grows to a maximum of 6 inches high. The blossoms are a pale yellow and blend in with the abundance of alpine flowers. However, the characteristic scent is very noticeable, especially when the blossoms turn yellow starting in August/September. The plant is harvested by licensed farmers.
Speick products are distributed in the United States by Smallflower.com.
